This goes back to my “I have a dream" thread http://forum.a-10.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3207 and I would like to build a list of unit mascots past and present, lets see if we can list all units and all squadrons...all who flew the Hawg, I’ll start with one unit I was stationed with (Sorry PRKIII)…..

347th Moody AFB GA. - White Knight

I think we will start out strong with current units but, I can see it getting interesting later as we search for the older uits and their mascots!

Dice & Mugs... you both took my two so guess all I can add are

74th - Flying Tigers (Pope AFB, NC - Current)
75th - Tiger Sharks (Pope AFB, NC - Current)
Question - What was the time frame that the 74th flew F-16's?
Didn't most of their aircraft come from the 55th when Shaw
converted to the F-16?

355th - Falcons Myrtle Beach (currently assigned at Eielson)
353rd - Panthers Myrtle Beach
356th - Green Demons Myrtle Beach

Dice, do you also want Exp Groups?

One last question for you guys, Didn't McChord have A-10's for a short time? I remember a lot of the guys at Moody came from there.

I'm sorry I can't remember what the 509th was at Bentwaters, but it wasn't the Skulls. Their patch had a skull with a rose growing out of the eye hole. The 92nd were the Skulls.

Hitler, can't help with the F-16 question but I'm sure someone will. Yes I want any and all who flew the A-10. For you last question...

354th (geographiclly separated from the 355th wing) "Bulldogs" McChord AFB WA.

Coach, the 509th (Alconbury) were the Pirates and you're right the 92nd were the Skulls but their patch had a skull with lighting bolts coming from the eyes.....who was the unit with the black rose through eye???

Also Coach, do the Cajuns still use the crawdad in any form or has this been left behind in the Desert Storm era?

Goose, It's not cheating it's using all the resources at hand! I was trying to give the "old timers" a chance to show their Hawg knowledge and tell us about the units they may have been assigned to "back in the day"!!

I agree, one of the best resources on the A-10 you can get and a must have for anyones libary!
