Excellent show covered the A-10 from inception up to Iraqi Freedom. I only saw a couple of campaigns they left out Allied Force and Uphold Democracy. I know what most of you are going to say, the A-10 didn't participate in Uphold Democracy but the 75th did deploy it's personnel and the aircraft where sent to Shaw AFB as a staging point. Mugs, do you remember that one...?

I have that show on CD (Mpeg format) so I can watch it whenever I want. I remember the Pope jets stageing out of Shaw, as I remember they were loaded with TP rounds only to cut down on colateral (S?) damage if used....do you remember that Hilter?

Oh yeah, we also had the Moody jets in flyable storage, so we had like 3 squadrons worth of jets on base for a week or so. We were busier than one-legged men in an ass-kicking contest! LOL

Dice, I had forgotten about the TP ammo. Always thought that was kind of strange. I'll agree with Mugs that had to be the busiest time I can ever remember having, with the exception of Me, Streeter and Lanning being stuck in Sig. and having to help those bulldogs get to the desert.

Dice

Any chance you can load that MPG onto a web site somewhere where those of us with broadband (and who didn't get a chance to see it) can download it? <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> I have downloaded 90MB+ files, it isn't that bad with my ADSL.

Cheers! M2

Hitler, this was the one they taped right before we left Pope right? My dad called me last night to tell me it was on so I described the scene that I was in so he could see me on TV.

I have this as a .mpg, but its like 700mb.

Without ME, it's just AWESO

We need more Hog movies, because I'm pretty freakin tired of all the F-15 Eagle proganda going around right now. Two weeks of stories about "simulated combat sorties" and useless competition over the beaches of Panama City. Pretty convenient, since they are THE ONLY WEAPONS SYSTEM not needed in the GWOT, so they have plenty of spare time to do stupid stuff like hold competitions of the scale of Billy Tell.

Now we have "Red Flag, The Movie"...the story of an Eagle driver going to his first Red Flag and fighting the mighty Adversary Tactics and their vaunted flying parfait painted LGPOS's. Anybody here old enough to remember the movie "Red Flag, the Ultimate Game". I predict this movie will take its place right alongside that one and the world renowned "Iron Eagle" trilogy.

The AF makes the worst movies of all the services. You should see the one coming out soon about the Hog...the story line is enough to make any self-respecting ATTACK pilot or maintainer puke.

BTW guys, I'll have several copies of this Modern Marvels episode for sale in a few weeks. I was able to track down the distributor for the History Channel videos and can get episodes of most shows that they air. DVDs are hit and miss, but almost always a VHS edition.

I remember it. 70s movie. Major story line was the conflict between the F-5 aggressor pilot and the F-4 pilot, both of whom were old war buddies.

Cheezy.
