We're not the 'Black Hogs' anymore. After a particularly turbulent time in the squadron's history (early 90s), we simply reverted back to 'Philly's Fightin' 103rd'.

Squadron 'mascot' is a Pegasus, motto is Virtute Alisque which is Latin for "On wings with Courage."

Not Hossier Hogs...It's HOOSIER sounds like "who's your"

Not sure that was ever official. The 45th was a WWII era unit. And the patch was an Indian with a tomahawk riding on a bomb.

I started working hawgs in '81 in the 509th AMU and I do believe it was the pirates. But, I have slept since then.
