Seems to me it all boils down to personal preference. Ep IV had technologies that blew people away (yes, I saw it originally in the theater...6 times); Ep V was definitely the Dark side of the Force and I think Lucas did a great job depicting it- and that's why people dislike it; however, it did set things up for the BR's of the world to get the Happy Hormones flowing again in Ep VI. <shrug> To each his/her own. I'm just glad the guy took the chance on developing and producing all of them. I think he deserves every $ he makes! IMHO, of course.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm with BR here episiode VI was the best because of the great battle over te death star! man how I love Y-wings. which remainds me, they had an artical in my school news paper last week and it turns out the Air Force has no X-Wings!...and you have to wear pants to formation.

Episode V was the best... Badguys finnaly win one... at the end the good guys are reeling, they've been stomped in the snow, frozen into the equivalent of a block of ice, dismebered, and mind F***ed...

At the risk of sitting on 44hp's fence: I liked Ep V for it's emotional aspect and dark visuals; and I liked Ep Iv & VI for their high speed scenes (in the trench and through the trees) and explosions (especially in the later upgraded versions). Overall I'd have to say V had the greatest impact on me. How's that? <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I can't help I just like them all, but even taking in the necessity for the story line, Ep II was too mushy for my taste.

EpV had Imperial walkers, ATSTs, a large scale infantry battle, a chase scene through a meteor field(still my fave star wars scene of all time), and a super cool lightsaber fight.

And the good guys lose.

EpV is the best.

ROTJ had the short battle early on with two of the rebel bigshots vs those speeder bike guys. Other than that ep V is the best.

...Of course ep three is going to be rather dark and have wookies running amok like the ewoks did....
