OK, so the PA guy at DM isn't the most helpful mook in the world but I feel like the board is the better place to get this done... I need to ID a couple of guys in a photo or two. It's possible that if I can't Id this crew chief the editor will decide that no one get's ID'd (consistancy) and frankly that would suck for the guys I was with at Pope. so...

If there's anyone on the board that's from DM and willing to take a look at a jpeg or two please feel free to e-mail me off the board. I thank you, a 357th crew chief thanks you and the gys at the 74th at Pope thank you. Hell, you want a print for your "I love me" wall... you got it.

Talk to you soon.

Hate to be a Prick But here it goes......

Has anyone on this site personally met you? Secondly why are you badmouthing the Public Affairs, when they got you in the door to begin with. I find this unprofessional by you and would make me think twice about granting you access to the inside of our organisation (for example).

I understand your needs and why your looking for this information, again these people are Military professionals and they and the USAF have a right to protecting their identities. (PERSEC)

This site may look like an intersanctum to the Hog world but we do have visitors to this site from various levels of the DOD. that read, participate, scrutinise what is said here. And at times people have been called upon the carpet for comments made or expressed here for the good or bad of the service. (know this personally, as it happaned to me once again last week.)

I like what you are doing, and its an ace in the hole for us. PLease do us a favor and atleast attempt to maintain some positive dialogue with the PAO with the 357th.

Stand out in the crowd, but dont look like a million other weenies in the press pool that give them a black eye. IF you can do this, then their are some collars/stripes on the inside that can grant you and pressure the PAO from the opposite side of the squadron.

...some things need to be said, and I feel this is one of them. I hope we can help you in some way, and hopefully with a relationship that is long term.

That was intelligent and useful Mudd.

But it certainly is what Ive come to expect.

Ace, just talk to your contacts at D-M and Pope. Keep it official and then there will be no problems.

When were you at Pope?

No offense taken MrMudd, you're right, I was wrong and probably just reaching a bit too soon. I apologize. None of you guys knows me and that was partly the reason I'd asked to be e-mailed off board... I really didn't want to advertise my credentals but hey.... again. I apologise.

The PA isn't a bad guy I guess and I'm sorry about that too just a tad frustrated I guess. Posting what I did probably was born more out of that frustration than anything else. I've on the good side of all this for 20 plus years and I hope to be around on that side for another twenty. My goal was to be good to the Pope folks who hosted me for three days of shooting and I didn't wanttohat to go by the wayside.

You're right, Mudd I should stick to the DM PA and go thru them... it's what I would do anyway but ... like I said I was frustrated and I apologize.

Coach, Was at Pope just acouple weeks ago. March 16-18

Thanks. it's actually working out I think. The guy is working the problem. My big fear was that the lack of one or two Id's would mean that no one would get Id'd and I want to do right by the loaders and maintainers. They don't get counted in most stories like this and the magazine sorta prides itself on including that part of the job. Not just the guy in the speed jeans.

I'll let you know when the issue's done and the story is on line

Thanks
an btw you're a good guy lookin out for other good guys that ain't no asshat in my book.
