HEY FOLKS,

SLIM CAME DOWN LAST WEEKEND AND WE GOT TO JAW JACKING ABOUT HIS PLANE,
82-2662,THE ONE IN THE PICTURE UPSIDE DOWN WITH 6 MAVS.

OK HERES THE PROBLEM,A FEW YEARS BACK,THEIR WAS ONE OF THOSE "BIG" COFFEE TABLE BOOKS FULL OF MODEREN AIRCRAFT OF THE USAF,BUT AS YOU TURN INTO THE FRONT COVER WAS "SLIMS" COCKPIT SHOT TAKING UP THE WHOLE PAGE FROM GUNSMOKE 89, (DON LITTLE) WOULD BE DDC ON IT.
A-10 WOULD BE IN EURO I WITH 23RD TFW TEETH.

ANYONE EVER SAW IT OR MIGHT HAVE IT,SO I CAN GET THE NAME?
IT HAD THE A-10 CHAPTER WITH THE NORMAL A-10 DRAWING WHICH IS IN A DOZEN OR MORE BOOKS.

I SHOULD OF PICKED IT UP BUT DIDNT, SLAP ME OK

ME TOO DICE,

IT WAS ONE OF THOSE "BIG COFFEE TABLE" BOOKS ON MODERN OR HISTORY OF AIRCRAFT BOOKS.
IT DID HAVE A BIG SECTION ON THE HOG,BUT I KICK MYSELF EVERYDAY FOR NOT GETTING IT.
I'LL KEEP LOOKING,IT WAS ON BARNES AND NOBLES CLEARANCE SELF BACK IN 2000 IF I REMEMBER RIGHT.

Goose....I have a "coffee table" book which sounds like perhaps what you are looking for...although the cover doesn't have an A-10 on it(could be a later cheaper edition , I suppose!) Anyway it has a 60 page section on the A-10 which is excellent in it's treatment of nearly every aspect of the jet from inception through the Gulf War...great history and tech details as well as diagrams, pics and art work. Its called the GREAT BOOK OF MODERN WARPLANES,published by Salamander Books LTD copyright 2002

I have the "Modern Warplanes" mentioned by rcscience but it is copyrighted in 1987. There is also a stand alone A-10 book with the same text and pix as in the big "Modern Warplanes" from the same publisher.

THE ONE HAS A PICTURE IN THE FIRST OR SECOND PAGE OF THE BOOK WITH A FULL PAGE PICTURE OF A "23RD TFW JET'S COCKPIT AND CREWBLOCK"
IT WAS A GUNSMOKE HOG. HAD A "TIGER PAINTED ON THE DOOR" WITH THE DCC NAME SSGT D. LITTLE ON THE BLOCK
THE ACFT WAS 82-2662 OH I CANT REMEMBER THE PILOTS NAME,I'LL HAVE TO ASK SLIM.
THE JET WAS ASSIGNED TO THE 75TH TFS/AMU ENGLAND AFB LA
