Spangdahlem. I visit that base a year ago with a Dutch group of airplane fans/spotters. Wow, what a big place. And do you practice your work on that green A-10 in the hangar?
Wish you good luck and a nice time there.

Salute
Dutchy

Welcome to the board loadtoad. I'm not a loader (ex crew dawg). Spent a few years down the road from you at Bitburg.

I used to be in the backshop over there. Ask if anybody knows the Kunkmiester, and you'll get a response.

Spang isn't very big. Check places over here if you don't believe me.

Okay the airbases in USA are bigger. But Spangdahlem is much bigger than any base in the Netherlands. And it looks fantastic there and the food is good. :)

Salute
Dutchy

ps. I visit years ago Edwards, that is marvelous and very big.

Army chow hall food was really good. No, seriously.

It was.

Playing on the stereotype, Snipe. I wouldn't be surprised if army food was better then AF food. Not at all. Haven't had the chance to test the theory though.
