Why is it the biggest fools of most April Fools' jokes are the implementers?

It is odd, though, because malaria is caused by a plasmodium, basically a tiny parasitic worm, so I don't know where the virus comes in, either transferred by the mosquito as well, or infecting the plasmodium. It's also fuzzy on whether the person can be "resurrected" two hours after death, or is it shortly after death and is animate for two hours before burning-in for good? Also, is the person actually dead, or all systems so shut down the person is as good as dead (as seen with either curare or tetrodotoxin), still suffers brain damage, and has a last, virus-induced "hurrah" from an adrenaline spike before actual, total death? Still, fun stuff to think about, even if it may be BS, and definitely if it does turn out to be real. And since syphillus changes the blood chemistry enough to stop the malaria plasmodia, will syphillitic sufferers be immune to rise-up and defeat the zombie masses, before succombing to syphillitic madness, themselves? If it is real, can't wait for it to be spread via airline routes, I'm board with the current horror genera, and I'd like to see Milla Jovovich running around with a gun, scantily clad.
