I also just realized this last night, too. True, it appears the 103rd picks up an air superiority mission, but upon further reading it will only be a detachment of sorts for the F-15's from Jacksonville and Atlantic City, with no CT tails.

Won't North Dakota also have no flying unit? Seems like the Fargo guard is going to be no more also.

Sadly the Happy Hooligans are retiring their block 15 A model lawndarts and are getting nothing in return.

I was talking about that yesterday with a friend of mien who lives in Moose Creek (I live in North Pole). I think North Pole will still be around. It's close enough to Fairbanks for alont of Ft. Wainright Soldiers to still live here. Moose Creek on the other hand.. I dont know. It's so small to begin with, I wonder. If Salcha gets any smaller, it will dissapear.

If anyone from Moody wants 79-216 back you can have the tub o' crap, lock stock and barrel. The crew chiefs from barnes will even take up a donation to pay for shipping.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

It is about time we get REAL aircraft back here at Moody!! It was stupid to send them out in the first place. Perfect combo for CSAR at one base and then they went and tore it up to put trainers here....really smart!! Well, if I can't get orders out now, Moody isn't going to be as bad anymore!!

Sorry if this has been asked already, but does this latest round
of "Realignments" affect just units in the US.
What about the guys in the UK and Europe

Yep, but don't think that takes overseas bases off the hook...there is a completely different round of closures and movements coming up that affect us over here in Europe...

Brac does not consider overseas bases, but it does consider what to do with those forces overseas that will return to the US when their bases close.

Yes they were the last of the ADF's All the other guard units had upgraded to 30's and the Hooligans only had A2A as their mission seat. If i recall it was a coldwar Mission specific to protecting the Nuke fields of the midwest.

Since their is no threat today of a Soviet Nuke run over the arctic. They have no mission. Rummy wants Bombers not fighters.
