I saw it last night at 12:01am Central time....I have to say...out of the new trilogy, it is hands down the best....explains almost all of the holes in the plot (even if to me some are kinda stupid) but all in all...I was very pleased.....and light sabers all over......

Where would you rank it, with 1 being the best Star Wars film, and 6 being the worst?

I rank Empire(Ep V) as #1, and Ep I as #6.

was disappointed in the political overtones and the digs at current events. Overal very entertaining, but think the mind numbed will take it as gospel. Look at the new moveon.org adds. Hey people it is a make believe galaxy far far away not reality.

I liked it, my favoute is still Empire Strikes Back but it is on par with Return of the Jedi (my third favourite), still hate Photom Primise.

Excellent.
It was on par with EP IV and I liked it a little better than EP VI, though not as good as 'Empire': If 'Empire' was a 10, this would be a 8.5

Lucas more than made up for the last two.

IMO, the words great, and Ep III, do not belong together in the same sentence.

Solid, Good, OK...sure.

Great?

LOL, yeah right.

It is still easily the best of the new episodes, but really...that's not saying very much.

I might have subconsciously over-hyped it and after seeing the vast improvement over the last two... My bad.

It most certainly was, and the more i reflect on this last movie, the more i realize that i didn't really like it much at all.

Great light saber fights...but there were about 1hr 45mins too few of them for that movie IMO.

And seriously, could Lucas have recruited ANY friggin' decent actors for his suckfest in space of a second trilogy? Somehow even S.Jackson was subpar...which is no easy feat for an actor of his caliber.

And seriously, the Emporer is a pussy in the flick. What's up with that?

I also have some REAL problems with the scene when Anakin betrays the order and turns on Windoo...and why Windoo was acting in the manner he was to begin with.

Simply put, it made no sense whatsoever.

Since I watched it purely for entertainment value, I enjoyed it. But I have to say that Hayden Christensen is one of the worst, most stilted actors I've seen. Lucas didn't do us any favors with that one. A cardboard cutout wouldv'e done as well speaking his lines. Even R2D2 did a better acting job!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Damn Straight!
The dialogues between Portman and Anakin were so cheesy and that I actually covered my face with my cap in embarrasment; I've seen better acting in pornos.

The end of the movie was the best. I liked seeing the Empire and the Emporer evolve inot the evil that they were to become. I also liked how everything tied up in the end.

You know it's a great movie when it can throw you right in its world. Ep IV did that well, 'Empire' did that SUPERBLY, and Ep VI also managed to get by in accomplishing that.

This one did as well. So I have to give it cred.
