Can anyone tell me if these were used by hog drivers or just a similar designation?

This apparatus has NOTHING to do with the Warthog...the A-10 designation is an USAAF nomenclature...someone on eBay mistakenly thought the A-10 had something to do with the current HAWG...you see , to work one of these things you need to have a nagigator on board...and I always thought I'd rather have the extra 200 lbs of gas...single seat, single engine...the only way to flay!....oh, yes, The Warthog still is single seat, single engine...2 x 1/2 engines...do the math...Cheers, All!

Speaking of that Col., what's up with the F-35B? Wouldn't you rather have 5000 lbs more fuel than a lift engine? And could you give your opinion on the timeless question...Which thing is really the most useless to a fighter pilot?

a) altitude above you
b) runway behind you
c) fuel in the tanker
d) other

Nicely spoken, STRESS...reminds me of the airlift business in which every trash-hauling airplane we have bought after the C-130 was always"sold" as able to operate from unimproved dirt strips..AND WE NEVER used then that way....how many $$$ do you suppose we crammed down that bottomless pit!....same with vertical jets...what's the deal...not only would I prefer the extra 5K in gas...how about the $10 million each extra jet costs to have that capability!!...oh well.....Did you ever think if we had started WWII with a fleet of combat airplanes as old as our present one....we'd had some Wright Flyers in the combat inventory....hmmmm Cheers, All!

oh...I forgot to answer your multiple choice quiz question. Stress...correct answer: (d)Other....like having a navigator on board a fighter jet...or ANY other person...see discussion above concerning single seat etc etc Cheers, All!
