Hi!

I wonder, how powerful is the Avenger gun on the A-10?

I bet it can rip through the top armor of any MBT, but how about the frontal armor?

Relevant MBT's would be T-60, T-70, T-80, T-90, Leopard, Abrams, etc

Welcome Keaton. Please be advised some questions should not be asked. It is hard to know what should and shouldnt be asked so do yourself a favor and perform a search on the topic. Fact is, the A-10 is not very likely to engage frontal armor. Because of it's basic attack profile is from above, the odds are very slim that the two entities will ever be face to face. Aside from the classified nature of the actual data (whatever it may be), the A-10 was never intended to engage/penetrate frontal armor. This of course is not an 'official' comment, but the opinion of a long time fan of the best CAS aircraft ever produced.

Ugly But Well Hung

As someone who loaded many Gau-8's, I doubt any armour is a match for this cannon, however no armour on any tank can stand up to the AGM-65!
