Pretty heated JMF422nd, you could use some cooling air along with the CICU! I never had a warm fuzzy about that LRU, too much magic smoke in one box! Good luck, hopefully you can pass along all your knowledge before you PCS.

As an old weapons guy that loaded more rockets than I can remember I will say those suckers are notoriously unreliable. It is not a reflection on the load crew when these don’t fire. Not in my opinion anyway. It is common practice to say the rocket wasn’t locked in however the truth is the rocket motors are just plain junk. Look at it this way, if the rocket wasnt locked in properly the thing probably would have slid forward during landing. It's just easier to blame weapons however false the claim.

Fender you make a Good Point, I can see why 422nd got "<img src=newicons/madani.gif border=0 align=middle>"
alot of Aircraft problems at first are blamed on Maintance.
I never saw the reason "Blame" needed to be place unless your talking "Aircraft Mishaps" but even then ALL points need to be looked at and "Humans aint prefect" unless it was an out right
Failure and disreguard of TO's etc...... no need to blame anyone and everyone learns from it.

Just my HO, and I probably in the day would of re-acted like he did but it still doesnt make it right, but there is a problem and between all of you folks it can be fixed if EVERYONE has an opened mind and listens to each other without fighting or talking down to someone.
It'll get fixed

Hey, first time posting.

The 175th is sending planes and people out to Nellis after the first of the year. As for ORI's effecting getting the mods, I dont think it plays that much into it. We (the 175th) got a Sat overall and the flightline/ops/maintenance portion recieved a Excellent (especially weapons!).

As for Rockets...well having a hung rocket happens, and when it does I like to blame Ammo...it's more fun that way.

That picture of the Roadrunner is funny, especially funny to those members of the 175th that attended SNOWBIRD recently. One of our A/Cs (720) was dubbed Coyote killer after it ran over one during landing out at DM. The Jet recieved some imprompto nose art featureing a running Y. Lee Coyote with the words ACME Inc. Coyote killer.

Here is my own "There I was" roadrunner story. Back in the F-22 escape system testing days in Alamogordo, the rocket sled hit a roadrunner at several hundred knots. Normally it would not be noticed (a little blood and guts to clean up), but in this case the impact was on the screen box that is mounted on the side of the sled. The screen is supposed to be cut by knives that are mounted trackside. This circuit created when the screen is cut triggers the first event in the escape sequence. The box was knocked off its mounts and the sequence was never initiated, ruining a million dollar test. The following cartoon was prepared by an unknown artist to commemorate the event.

<img src="http://pic16.picturetrail.com/VOL702/3046559/6177620/119717963.jpg" border=0>

It ain't the heat it's the humility.

I have a great pic of the nose art, the problem is I cant seem to paste it into the post. I have to go train for my Black Belt test (in Kung Fu of all things). So if some one can let me know what I am doing or not doing here to make this work. It is a great pick.

You have to have it hosted first. Some use photobucket among many others.

Hosted? forgive me but I am not very good with the internet side of computers (mostly hardware and video problems). So if anyone could point me in the right direction here. Can windows do it, or do I need to download something?

Thanks much.

And yea there was some Coyote bits on the Main gear. The leaking hydrolic fluid made it look really bad! The EOR 2man spotted it and pointed out the forming puddle of red fluid (along with the clumps of fur). The crew chief (weapons that is, not AGP) asked the pilot if there was anything wrong, to which he said "I think I might of hit something." Well it wasnt spotted until the plane was fully dearmed and they were just closing up the boot. Dont you think it would have been nice of him to say "hey, can you check my gear, I might of hit something", before the EOR guys started running around in the dark under his jet?
Anyway work comes early here.
Thanks
