There is a badge out there that looks like that (at Nellis, I believe); but THIS ISN'T IT!!! xflip97esales is renowned for selling bad copies of patches that are bad copies of original patches. For example…

The original
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/M2_patches/A-10_1972-1992.jpg" border=0>

xflip97esales "copy"...
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/M2_patches/Bad_Copy.bmp" border=0>

Steer away from this eBay seller if you are only looking for genuine patches. If you have any questions, try the forum on www.usafpatches.com or email me (I have about 700 Hawg patches)...

Cheers! M2

Which one? The 'CAS for Dummies' or the ones pictured in my earlier post? If the former ('CAS for Dummies'), then heck yeah I am interested!

If the latter, I have the original (non-xflip97esales) version, but I appreciate the offer.

Did you see the original East Coast Demo team patch on eBay that went for $31? It was item #6591182077. I topped out at $25, it was the usual feeding fenzy at the end. Randy Troutman had originally bid on it, but he went out at $21.89. Ahhh, the joys of patch collecting! <img src=newicons/anim_furious.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/pain10.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/madani.gif border=0 align=middle>

Here is another example of xflip97esales "work"...

<i>The original</i>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/M2_patches/OEFCombatHogDriver.jpg" border=0>

<i>xflip97esales "copy"...</i>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/M2_patches/xflipsales97fake.jpg" border=0>

He used to dupe authorized unit patches until someone threatened him with legal action. For a while he was making up his own patches, some were amusing but none of them were "authorized" for wear. Now I guess he is going after Friday/O'Club/generic patches which may not be covered under the same laws as unit patches, such as this one and the one Dutchy originally posted. Either way, these are poor copies and if you want "true" unit patches, xflip97esales is not the way to go. But, if you like his "work," then buy away!

Cheers! M2

I have never seen any of these patches on the arms of real Hog Drivers. The OEF patch is a common pattern, but I haven't seen that version. As for the "CAS for Dummies" one, I don't think any self-respecting Hog pilot would be caught dead wearing one of those.

I got the patch today, thanks much and I owe ya! The first thing I will do is take back all the nasty comments I made about ya when you outbid me on eBay! <img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>

Dutchy, I will take a pic of the real patch and post it with a pic of the "copy" being sold on eBay. Like the others, you will see a definite difference!

Cheers ! M2

Dang, and I got them? I am surprised, as your pockets usually run deeper than mine!

Oddly enough, I was working on my resume when the auction was about to end, and only got my last bid in at the very final few seconds. I can't wait until they arrive, they look pretty sharp in the photos.

I also won a 81 TFW poster with all the squadron patches on it (see eBay item 6593701066). It was a lucky day for me, I usually don't spend that much time on eBay!

Cheers! M2

Here is the original patch and the copy for comparison...

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/M2_patches/CASforDummies.jpg" border=0><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/M2_patches/CASforDummiescopy.jpg" border=0>

It's better than most of his work, but definitely noticible that it is a copy...

Cheers! M2
