Goose I agree with your analogy but the difference as you said is if you paint your house, no foul. If you paint your jet and the wrong person sees it there "could" be hell to pay.

Look at the members of the Guard units who came back from Iraqi Freedom and where charged $$$ for putting personalized markings on their stuff.

My main point is and was we live in different times from days gone by. What used to be acceptable behavior is now frowned down upon and this could be one of those things. I personally would hate to see Jack get into any trouble over it. That's why I told him to make sure to CY his A. Review/Know the regulations, run it up the chain and if you find no objections press on with pride. Jack knows me and if I told him anything different he'd be <img src=newicons/anim_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> (Jack - <i>"Hey where can I find...."</i> Lil Hitler - <i>"Good question look it up and you tell me"</i>)

As for the jet with the art work General Horner flew around in, is this the one you’re referring to?

And General D's

But my favorites are

No one can accuse me of trying to tell Jack to remove an emblem of historic significance. The symbol on the gear door is not anything like the symbol used by the 3rd Pursuit Squadron of the American Volunteer Group (The Flying Tigers). Besides, the 355th is not a Flying Tiger unit.

I was just trying to save him some heartburn. The picture is visible to anyone who happens to drive by the jet since it's on the gear door. It looks like something from a pick up truck's mudflaps.

Your right Their Bulldogs.

Jack your mission should you choose to accept it. Is to paint the biggest set of Bullocks on that jet of yours.

Cause you got them hanging way out there for Coach to see!

JackB,

Thank you for sharing those images from Bagram. Keep up doing the good work overthere and don't let yourself be upset about the remarks on your jet. <img src=newicons/anim_bs.gif border=0 align=middle>

Coach,

I agree the "Angel" isnt the real Hell's Angel, that's why I said "Paint it red and put a Halo on it" that way he had a BS story to CYA.
I know you werent jumping him about the Art.
I see where you get the Mudd Flap thing, We have enough of those "Yahoo's" around here with them.
I agree it aint the USAF anymore of the past.
When TQM came on board it stood for
"Time (to) Quit (the) Military" The stupidist thing in the world!

But I agree with Weasel,
I think its been a great thread to get some "Steam -Out"
and Hitler, those are the Pic's.

The Hog doesn't need a set of fake vinyl balls...this jet has all the balls it needs as is.
