Well after many years of lurking in the shadows and checking out all the humor and other observations of life on this site I finally decided to join in the fun. As my profile shows I don't work with A-10's or been ever stationed with them. Alas, I am one of the often hated Chem Warfare guys. Ever since the first Gulf War and seeing what that A-10 can do I have been an A-10 fanatic. I am headed to Kirkuk AB soon for a 120 day rotation. Rumor has it there is a squadron of A-10's stationed there. I hope that this is true. I will finally get to support my favorite's airframe's mission for the first time.

You go to Kirkuk ab? I don't know if they had a squadron A-10's. Are you working by the US Airforce? Maybe you find the answer somewhere on this forum. So welcome here and have a nice stay.

Thanks Dutchy. Yeah, I am active duty AF. I at heard said for some people that were there that A-10's were deployed there. Oh btw, my sister and her husband are stationed there at Barksdale. She is a 2W2 and he is B-52 mechanic.
