I am getting ready to make up another batch of Tips for the 30mm shells and wondering if there is anyone else that might be interested. I brought a hundred of them into my last drill and they were gone in less than 2 hours. These are all made with a bevel in the end to insert into shells. If anyone has any questions please email me at stommen221@aol.com If you want to see what they look like I just thru one up on ebay to give people an idea. Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

The price that you see is just what they are going for on ebay. Contact me with the numbers you might be looking at and I can get you a better price than on ebay.

All depends on how many. The more people buy the cheaper they sell the alluminum for. 1-10 10$, 11-25 9$, 26-50 8$, 51-75 7$, 76-100$ 6$. I brought 100 in last drill and they were gone in 2hrs.

Just got the one from eBay in the mail. Thanx much. Do you have an inventory already or are you going to be making a new run?

Got mine and they are ! The fit is a bit too snug, though, to seat well. Suggestions? Should I sand/grind the inside of the shell throat or the shank of the slug? Or something else.

I would sugget the inside of the shell as not to mar the finish of these beautiful inserts. Try starting there, maybe a little WD-40 afterwards to help things along.

Got mine yesterday and they look great. Tried one at work today that was a little snug, but a little lube would probably do the trick. Nice work.

The best way to insert them is to either put them on a press and press it in, or get the tip started a little and while holding the tip pound the casing on a hard surface covered by carpet, or you can do what I normally do and insert the tip a little and turn it over so the tip is on the ground (a hard surface covered by a couple of towels) then just use a hammer to pound in your casing. It doesnt take that much to put it in that way. I tried to make sure they were as tight as possible. Ive seen some tips that you have to put glue in to hold them.

Thanks, B.C. A little lube, a little "friendly persuasion" and it's all good.

Sorry but I dont think that customs in either country would like me to send them international. If you would like to do the leg work and find out thats up to you but I dont know what they would say if they inspected a package with a bullet tip inside.

Yojimbo, I was last in the Great Britian (Duxford) and I saw on some stands there where you can buy shells, maybe also 30mm. And not only there, almost every airshow are people that sale those shells.
And maybe is that better and saver than that you and B.C_Hogs take a risk with sending. Good luck with finding and buying Yojimbo. Good luck you too with the sale B.C_Hogs.

Dont think too hard, theres always a way to ship what you want! Find a like item, size and shape and declare it as that.

Off the top of my head, and looking at the photo of the "round" real fast, I would have to declare it as the same thing my wife said when she first saw it. LOL

I showed it to her and she laughed saying it looked like a vibrator? And she isnt the kinky one of the family....Trust Me on this one! LOL

So I would say pack a few up and declare them as "personal massagers"!

Now there is an even better idea. You guys are good. I figure most of the customs guys/gals would know what a pesonal massager is. Probably more so than a plumb-bob, which I did already know BTW.
