Just got done watching the military channel about US bombers. Did you guys know the US had the first 'airforce' with a purchase of 1 1909 wright flyer, which had an annual fuel and maintenance budget of 150. Orville and Wilbur have to pissed on missing out the f-22 revenue stream.

Yes, I'm fishing on that stream myself. "If your not workin' for Lockheed, you're workin' too hard" is my motto. Ooops! Gotta go. I must approve the drawings for this $5000 toilet seat so I can earn my extravagant bonus. Then, there's coffee and dougnuts in the conference room, followed by an awards presentation for the manager that best padded his budget by failing to meet any of his requirements. It's go, go, go all day.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hey Muddy you can't deliver that quick, the other contractors will get mad because you came in on time. Stick with the program, delay and ask for more money.

Yes that is refered to as Feature Creep, What should take a shift to process and have quantity. Now takes a year to insure that No Space monkey's flung poo while doing an in space interview for Public School children...Kids dont litteraly need to see how shit floats in space.

But we love the feature Creep because govt contracted work means insane manufacture price rates.

This is how a 5000 Dollar Toilet seat becomes a 5 million dollar AssClown derived cost overun, multiple delayed program

one of the greatest movies ever made dealing with this issue was from HBO called "Pentagon Wars" Very humourous tale of the Bradly Fighting Vehicles development.

That sounds like a typical schedule. Remember, as soon as you get all the bugs out of production and quality control, I will propose a "Product Improvement Program" (PIP) that changes everything completely. Oh, Let's say a material change to graphite/bismaleimide that raises the price to $10,000 a seat but saves 0.5 lbs. on paper, but quality control fixes for internal defects add back 2.0 lbs for a net gain of 1.5 lb and $5000 cost. Then I can write a technical paper on the breakthroughs of the new design so I can go to the convention in Vegas and network with govt. folks to set up for the next fiasco...er, I mean major advance in toilet seat technology.
