I posted this question for you on the other thread T7, but on the chance you missed it, i'll repost it here...
"How much on that aircraft is still secret T7? Do they still do the locked and loaded guard routine with them? I saw an F-117 at an airshow in i guess 94 or so and they had the armed guards with the red tape 'do not cross' line around it.
No one tested the resolve of those airmen, lol.

Sorry about missing this in the other thread, Snipe. Still a number of things classified about the aircraft, and especially about the "hows" of employment, etc. They still do the armed guard routine. In fact, this excerpt is straight out of our unclassified pilot guide reference airshow displays:
Static Displays:
a. An elevated barrier will be placed no closer than 20 feet around the aircraft. A second elevated barrier, no closer than 30 feet, can be placed around the aircraft during static displays when large crowds are in attendance.
b. Requires two sentries. One sentry providing positive control via the Aircraft Commander's approved Entrance Access List and one additional sentry to positive all-around detection and surveillance. Sentries must be M-16 equipped.
c. Requires two response teams as described in b. above.
d. Local threat conditions and size of the crowd may dictate additional posting requirements. The Aircraft Commander will make this determination.

Oh, and one other thing, if you can answer....does the F-117 have an AIM-9 capability? If you can't say, i wouldn't want you too, and i'm sure you won't...but it's something i've always wondered about."
Answer as you see fit Sir.

Again, without going into the "hows" (which I don't even know yet in regards to this subject), look at this website:
http://www.warmachines.50g.com/planes/f ... 7_info.htm
Looking at the "armaments" portion, it makes mention of the AIM-9 and general use for it. Haven't seen any training to that, but then again, I'm not fully read in to everything either, but the plane is able to carry it. Somewhere else on the web, I saw a pic of a 117 doing release tests of an AGM-88.
