Let's do a little comparative posting here, shall we?
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>Eagles win today 31-17(it was not as close as the score).<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Vikes won today also, <b>35</b>-17 (against last year's #1 defense).
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>McNabb threw for over 300yds, completed 70% of his passes, and threw 4 TD passes.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Culpepper only threw for 242 yds, but completed over 70% of his passes, throwing for <b>5 TD passes</b> to 4 different receivers. McNabb only threw TDs to Smith and T.O. today.
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>T.Owens caught 8 passes, 3 for TDs in his first game as an Eagle<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Moss caught only 4 passes, 2 for TDs, but also threw a 37-yd pass. I'll give this one to T.O., he did have a phenomenal day as an Eagle.
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>B.Westbrook ran for 119 yards on 16 carries.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Can't touch that. Onterrio Smith had a decent game (63-yd TD reception, 76 yds on 15 carries) but Westbrook outran him. Sad that he had over 150 yds today with no score though.
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>J.Kearse had a fumble recovery on the goal line, and applied immense pressure all day- as did the whole Eagles D(the Eagles had either 5 or 6 sacks- i lost count, lol).<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Vikes' D didn't impress me - though newcomer Antoine Winfield did on his own: 8 solo tackles, 2 forced fumbles (1 he recovered)... he's definitely a welcome addition.
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>Next up: Minnesota at home on Monday night.
Prediction?
Eagles 27-14

You <i>really</i> feel it's gonna be that lopsided?? In all honesty I can't say what I really feel this game's gonna end up as; this early in the season it's anybody's game. Both McNabb and Culpepper are looking great; Moss and T.Owens are both hungry and ready to wake up the secondary; Westbrook's looking good, but Minnesota's got Onterrio Smith AND Moe Williams (not to mention Mewelde Moore, and Michael Bennett when he returns from injury).
I guarantee this game's gonna come down to three things: defense, special teams, and penalties. It's blatantly obvious that the guns are gonna be blazing and TDs are gonna be flying through the air back and forth, so the key is gonna be in whichever team feels more comfortable and doesn't lose their head. As much as I hate to admit it, it'll probably fall to Philly (since it's at their field and all).
I'll be watching this game from start to finish, and it's looking like it's gonna be a great one... we'll see, Snipe, we'll see...
