"But let's be realistic Snipe, with a healthy Randy Moss into the mix, if they could go into Lambeau on a short week without his services and lose only as time expires on a crummy FG, the Falcons are a joke at best - who else would give the Eagles the most fight in the NFC Champsionship game? Answer: No one."
True.
Although the Falcons have a MUCH better defense than the Vikes, and, well.....Vick.
Now on to tonights HISTORIC game. <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>
Several records were set:
The Eagles scored more points in Dallas tonight against the Cowboys than ANY TEAM IN NFL HISTORY in the Cowboys 44 year history(49pts).
The Eagles scored more points in one quarter than Dallas has EVER SURRENDERED IN IT'S HISTORY.(28pts, 2d Quarter)
The Eagles tied the most points ever scored on Dallas in one half(35).
Terrell Owens set a new MNF record with at least one TD in 7 MNF games in a row. The previous record holder was Jerry Rice. Owens scored 3 TD's tonight, and now has 12 for the season, which leads the NFL.
Owens and McNabb tied an all-time Eagles record by connecting for 12 TDs in one season.(Jaworski-Quick was the last time it was done, back in 83).
McNabb had his career best QB rating in tonights game(140.1). He threw 4 more TD passes, and amassed 350+ yds passing, with no INTs.
Terrell Owens had his 5th 100yd Game in the last 6 games, and tallied his 6th 100yard game as an Eagle(not bad considering he's played all of 9 games as an Eagle!). Owens is on pace to SMASH every Eagles single season recieving record.
McNabb hit 4 different recievers for gains of 40 or more yards. Pinkston, Westbrook, Owens, and Mitchell(the passes to Pinkston, Owens, and Mitchell were all 50 yards or more).
The McNabb to Mitchell 62 yard pass was the best play i've ever seen McNabb make, and indeed is the 3d best play i've ever seen ANY Eagle make.
(#1 was Randall to C.Williams for 98yds after breaking away from B.Smith in the endzone against the 90' Buffalo Bills, that was perhaps the best play in the history of the NFL. #2 was a 98yd interception for a TD by Eric Allen against the NY Jets in 1993. #4 was Cunningham to Garrity on MNF against the Giants in 1988).
The McNabb to Mitchell play will likely win the ESPY for play of the year.
To top it off Lito Shepard sealed the game with his 4th pick in the last 4 games, returning it 101yds for a TD. That was sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

That kid is a stud in the making, and has a good shot at making the pro bowl in his 1st year as a starter.
You guys have no idea how much we here in Philly HATE the stinking Dallas Cowboys. It is far and away our #1 Rivalry. To see the Eagles smack the cowboys like that is a lifelong dream, lol. I'm freaking giddy.
I was a bit concerned about the 21pts the Eagles surrendered until i realized that N.Wayne, M.Simoneau, C.Simon and D.Walker were lost to injury in the 1st Quarter. Losing 4 starters on D will obviously cause problems, but even still the backups came in and played OK. The Game was never in doubt.
Eagles reshuffled the lineup by starting DT Rayburn, moving Trotter to starting MLB(he had a very good game tonight), and moving Simoneau to OLB. Seemed to work, as the Eagles did a pretty good job shutting down the Cowboys running game tonight.
Levens also ran the ball extremely well, Westbrook did his damage as a reciever.
8-1, and the hapless Redskins are next. LOL, that one could be 150-3 too.
After that come the Giants, and the Eagles can for all intents and purposes clinch the division in week 10. Theoretically the Falcons are in the mix, but it looks like homefield throughout the playoffs is probably already in the bag. The Eagles have some real dogs on the schedule in the 2d half of the season(Redskins twice, Cowboys again, Giants again and the Bengals in Philly).
The Eagles only have two tough games left, home against the Pack, and on the road against the Rams. The Eagles have a legitimate shot(though i wouldn't count on it) of going 15-1. Amazing.
I'll stick to my original prediction of 13-3, but 14-2 is probably more likely. I figure the Eagles will go 1-1 against the Pack/Rams.
No 14-2 team has ever failed to reach the Superbowl, at least that i am aware of.
At this point, i don't particularly care who the Eagles play in the NFC playoffs, they are CLEARLY the best team in the NFC, and by a very wide margin. Barring further injury, i'd be stunned if the Eagles didn't make the Superbowl this year.
