I hope you hoglets are watching the Eagles UTTERLY dismantle the Pack today.

35-3 at the half, and the game isn't even as close as the score says.

McNabb, 306 passing yards and FIVE 1st half touchdowns- a new career record, and an Eagles franchise record for most passing TDs in a half. He started the game 14 for 14- a new Eagles franchise record for most completions in a row. He has a 1st half QB rating of 158.3(yes folks, that's PERFECT).

He's thrown 3 TDs to B. Westbrook who has over 100 recieving yards in the 1st half. McNabb has also thrown a TD to TO(14) who has about 80 1st half yds, and 1 to TE L.J. Smith. McNabb hit 7 different Eagles recievers in the 1st half.

The Eagles doing all this with both starting guards not playing today(one of whom is an All-Pro).

The Pack, who'd allowed only 5 sacks the entire season surrendered 3 in the first half(should be more to be honest), and the Eagles D has utterly dominated them, allowing just 111 1st half yards, and only 27 rushing yards. Favre was tagged with 2 INTS(should also be more).

The Pack came into today's game with the #1 offense in the NFC, but they won't be leaving with it...they're being owned by the Eagles blitz happy pressure defense.

The Eagles are so far and away the best team in the NFC it's scary. There isn't another team in the NFC that has even a prayer vs. this Eagles squad in the playoffs.

I HOPE the Vikings come to Philly for the playoffs, but at this point it doesn't even matter. Send whoever you want, it won't matter.

I'm enjoying watching the Eagles destroy the packers!

35-3 at the half, i can't wait to see the rest of this one!

TRUNCATED MY VARIOUS POSTS INTO ONE EASY TO IGNORE RECORD FEST... ;)

There will probably be more of these tommorow, but as of now these are the Eagles records broken in the G.B. Game:

Franchise record tying best start of 11-1

McNabb: Career game high in TD's: 5
Career season high: 28 TDs
Career Game high: 464 passing yds.
Franchise record 464 yds passing, 1 game
Career game high Completions: 34
Career high consecutive completions: 14
Franchise record 14 straight completions, 1 game

T.O: Career high 7 100yd recieving gms, season
Franchise high 7 100yd recieving gms, season
Franchise record 14 recieiving TDs, season

B.Westbrook: Career high 11 catches, 1 game
Franchise RB record 11 catches, 1 game
Career high 193yds from scrimmage
Career high 156yds recieving(highest total by an Eagles back since 1956)

A.Reid: Franchise record career wins: 67
A.Reid has the highest winning % of any active coach in the NFL.

Some interesting stats i read:

Since 2000 the Eagles are 46-12 vs NFC opponents, .793%.

Since 2000 the Eagles D leads the NFL in Sacks, Pts Allowed, and Redzone defense.

The Eagles have become just the third team in NFL history to record 5 straight 11 win seasons(Dallas, 49ers).

In nine games this season vs NFC opponents the Eagles have outscored the opposition 288-113, with an avg margin of victory of 32- 13.

And they just keep rolling on. The bigger question is, who in this Conference can stop them next year, or the year after, or the year after?

LOL

Oh, and Favre's 36 games with a TD streak....OVER

A few more silly stats and observations.

At the end of the 1st half, Mcnabb had more TDs(5), than incompletions(4).

LOL

Green bay has not won a game in Philly since 1962.

This was the worst Packers loss since 1990(When a randall cunningham led Eagles beat them 31-0), and is the worst Packers loss of the Brett Favre era.

Favre went just 14 of 29 passing for 131 yards and two interceptions. For the first time in over 2 seasons he didn't throw a TD.

Superstar Running back A. Green carried 11x, for just 37 yards, 3.3yd avg.

The vaunted and previously unstobbable Packers U-71 formation was totally shut down by the Eagles despite the Packers employing it heavily in the 1st quarter. Eagles DC Johnson countered it by playing DT D.Walker at LE, moving Kearse to RE, and playing two MLBS(Trotter, Simenou), giving the Eagles a very big front 7, but one that can also apply heavy pressure against the pass.

Since MLB J.Trotter has moved to the starting line up and simenou has moved outside the Eagles have been a dominating run defense team. The Green bay packers Run offense was completely shut down, gaining just 50yds on 18 carries, a 2.8yd avg.

The Pack's #1 in the NFC offense(yds, scoring) 1st team unit ammassed less than 175yds total offense.(Favre was pulled with 8:30 left in the 4th with the Eagles up 47-3), as were most of the Eagles defensive starters.

With just under 8 minutes left in the 4th the Packers needed 7 plays inside the 10 to finally score a TD, breaking the Eagles streak of 16 straight quarters without surrendering a TD.

The Eagles defense has now allowed 10 fewer pts than the next best defense, the Baltimore Ravens.

This game was an asswhipping like Favre has never felt before. Hope he enjoyed it as much as i did. <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

Eagles remaining schedule: At Redskins, Vs Dallas, at Rams, at Bengals.

Can you say 15-1???

Hehehehehe.

Just to cheer up the rest of the NFC about the future, the Eagles have 5 picks in the first 3 rds next year...This team is friggin stacked for the forseeable future.

The Eagles may have pretty much locked every thing up in the NFC, but what a dogfight in the AFC.

Still think NE is the class of the conference, but i really think they'd have a hell of a hard time going into Pitt in the playoffs and beating the Steelers.

Time will tell.

Anyway, Eagles next game is next Sun night on Prime time. The Eagles never lose on prime-time.

Final score: 50-3 Eagles, lol.

They looked sharp Snipe...Just remember great seasons have a way of becomming a distant mememory without a win in the last week of January...That being said, Andy Reid reminds me alot of John Madden. Madden was 0-4 in AFC Championship games untill the Raiders put it together in 1976. Madden left after 10 seasons with the highest winning percentage of any NFL coach ever, not sure if that still stands...But he averaged 10 wins a year for his career, and this was when the NFL had a 14 game regular season schedule for the bulk of career...Reid like Madden gets the most of his players, and when he has the talent he has, to compliment his coaching its damn scary for the rest of the league... With his ability to coach, and the talent that will keep reloading, you may have yourself a dynsasty in the works up there...Plus Jim Johnson is a great defensive coordinator, love their in your face blitz you on every down style...Thats how defensive football should be played...

Looks to be Pittsburgh, New England and Philly this year...I laughed my ass off when Longwell hit that field goal to wipe the shutout off the books...The fans where actually boing because the score was 35-3...They where pissed about the field goal...Great performance though, I love it when a team is dominant in every single phase of the game.

BTW...

McNabb put the MVP award out of reach with that performance...

Reid has 67 wins in 6 years which puts him at 11.166 regular season wins/per 16 game season...And we still have 4 games left!

Vette, you've got to be kidding me.

I keep telling you i WANT the Vikes in the Championship.

See how long it takes you to get over a 50-7 thrashing... :)

BTW, McNabb now owns the NFL record for most consecutive completions- 24 in a row.

Unless I am mistaken McNabb broke Joe Montana's record of 22 straight completions, which was over a two game span. Rich Gannon still owns the single game completion record which was 21 against Denver...

You are correct Chad.

McNabb also passed for more yds. against the Pack than any QB they've ever faced in their entire history.

I wonder if even the loony Vikes fan really believes anyone can stop the Eagles this year...

NFC belongs to the Eagles, and if they keep up this level of play the NFL for that matter. I like the Steelers and the Pats, but...In week One the Raiders who suck ass this year nearly beat Pittsburg. The Steelers have had a great season, but I really believe the only NFL team that has the firepower to trade punches with Philly is New England, and I still think Philly has the edge in overall talent, but New England still has the swagger of a team that has been to the show, and won it. I am already pumped for the playoffs, I love watching good football no matter who the team is, as long as it isn't the Chiefs, Donkeys, or Vikings...Trent Green had an awesome second half against Oakland proved to be the difference in the battle for the AFC West doormat. Favre looked rattled yesterday, and I have never, ever seen him look that way before. He often had that Jeff George "WTF is going on" look...That right there is all you need to know about the level of play by Philly's "D"

I am still LMAO over the Philly crowd at halftime being pissed about field goal... <img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>

We wanted our shutout. :)

Agree with you on Favre...he looked totally bewildered and confused yesterday.

Since the insertion of Trotter into the starting lineup(4 games), the Eagles have surrendered fewer points and yards than any team in the NFL over the same span.

He should've started from day 1, but Reid and him had a history...

Man, how bad does Seattle suck?

LOL...is there a worthy challenger anywhere?

Addition via subtraction?

Eagles DE D.Burgess was lost for the season in the Eagles win over GB, which means the new starter at RE is H.Douglass. DT Darwin walker will also rotate outside. On running downs Eagles DC J.Johnson says he will now employ DT's Simon, Rayburn, and Walker, with Jevon Kearse along the front four. With the Eagles already starting two MLBs, the Eagles will likely be very hard to run on for the rest of the season. That's the front 7 the Eagles used to shut down the Packs vaunted 'U-71' formation.

With tonight's Seattle loss the Eagles have clinched no worse than the second seed. With a win next week, the Eagles clinch homefield throughout regardless of whatever team does what.

Only in the AFC...

I was at that game btw, you could have heard a pin drop after Meshawn snagged that jump ball. Talk about snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory. Best athelete on the field for Seattle was Edgar Martinez before the game raising the 12th man flag...

Holgrem like Shanahan is mediocre without an elite QB...

HUGE MISTAKE BY COLTS.

They sign 32yo M.Harrison to a 6 year deal worth $66 million, with a $22 million signing bonus.

He'll be 38 yo when the contract expires, and if they release him earlier, they'll be paying $3.67 million per year in cap penalties.

So assume he has 3 more good years left, then at age 36 to cut him they'll face a $10 million plus cap penalty.

This is why some teams will never get over the hump. Dumbasses...

Look at Jerry Rice. <img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yeah, he sucks...and having to cut him instead of him retiring has killed the 49ers cap.

Rice had one good year in Oakland, but to be honest it was in a West Coast offense, and his yards per catch average sucked (even in that offensive system). IMHO the Raiders hurt themselves signing Rice and not allowing some of their younger recievers develop sooner. They took touchdowns off the board by cutting Jerry Porters time on the field for Jerry "Geritol" Rice's behalf...QB's can be productive in their twilight years given they are in the right offensive system, recievers and tailbacks are very limited investments past 34...Backloading slarary beyond that age with those positions will limit your slaray cap ptential later...Like Snipe said...(See SF)
